Tim Tebow and John 3:16 FOOTBALL DESTINY AN EVERLASTING LEGACY OF LOVE

Tim Tebow threw for 316 yards against the Steelers, and with out eye black or tweeting, he has John 3:16 in Google Hot Trends once again, three years to the day that he first wore and popularized John 3:16 on his eye black in the 2009 National Championship Game!

John 3: 16 is a verse of scripture from The New Testament written by Jesus‘ disciple who was known as John The Apostle of Love, because the book he wrote (The Book of John), has the word “love” used the most times out of the four books written by disciples - giving witness of Jesus’ life acts and life on earth. This 4 set of books is known as “The Gospels.”

Most importantly though, John 3: 16 says this:

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotton Son, so that whoever believes in him will not perish, but have everlasting life.”

I love the fact that the eternal God is absolutely demoratic… Whoever believes.

(I like verse 17 too, that talks about God not being a condemning God… but I guess that’s another football match, and another football lesson). We’ll have to wait for that from Tim Tebow, or another footballer with faith too. In the meantime, watch these clips.

It’s like watching a football star’s faith and destiny unfold on the football field – speaking of a legacy of everlasting love. Totally normal really if you have faith that’s real. And yet, totally surreal as well. In fact, the book of John, you could just take one verse a day, and mull it over. It’s so rich in promises of goodness to anyone who believes.

Real State Bloom.Com writes that the verse is a favorite of the Denver Broncos team.

Tebow’s faith and football story reminds me of New Zealand’s Michael Jones‘ rugby football story. A lot of parallels here.
